Apple is preparing to unveil the upcoming iPhone 17 series, slated for release in September. Described as an “ultra-thin” iPhone 17 Air, the company’s latest flagship is a lighter and more affordable option.
Other models in the series include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The Pro models will have their own features and be in a higher price range. This time, Apple will not launch the iPhone 17 Plus, which will be replaced by the Air model.
Compared to previous models, the iPhone 17 Pro models will feature several improved features. While the Pro and Pro Max are on par with each other in many specifications, the main differences likely lie in screen size and RAM capacity.
Tech guru Gorogy, who has 23 million subscribers on YouTube, examined prototypes of the upcoming iPhone 17 series. In his video, the Pro models, placed side by side, show their different sizes. While the iPhone 17 Pro appears to feature a 6.3-inch ProMotion Retina display, the iPhone 17 Max Pro will have a 6.9-inch screen.
Both phones will be powered by the latest A19 Pro processor, Apple’s next-generation processor designed to significantly improve the iPhone experience. The iPhone 16 Pro could come with 12GB of RAM. The video also revealed that both models will have a similar camera module design.
The three lenses—the main, telephoto, and ultra-wide—are expected to have a resolution of 48 megapixels each. Reports indicate that the selfie camera could have a resolution of 24 megapixels.
A notable design difference is that the camera module of the two Pro models is now mounted all the way to the top edge of the phone.
