The FBI director is in the hot seat for reportedly joyriding on government plans.

Cash Patel is furious with his “allies” who are not supporting him following allegations that he used a government plane to visit his girlfriend.

The already weakened FBI director has faced intense criticism since a whistleblower revealed his use of a private jet last week. Among the accusations: Patel allegedly traveled on the $60 million plane to attend a party at his girlfriend’s house and visit her hometown.

Patel, 45, responded to these “baseless” rumors in a lengthy post published Sunday afternoon on X, criticizing the “silence of his so-called allies” and defending his girlfriend, whom he described as a “country music star.”

“I am proud of the work done by the FBI.” “We are arresting a record number of violent criminals, we are getting the fentanyl crisis under control, we are dismantling gangs, we are saving children, we are hunting down terrorists—and much more,” he said.

“Let me be clear: we will not be distracted by baseless rumors, comments from ignorant internet trolls, or fake news.”

He added: “I have always said: criticize me all you want. But attacking those who are doing remarkable work, my private life, or my inner circle is absolutely shameful. The vile and baseless attacks on Alexis—a true patriot and the woman I am proud to call my partner—are pathetic. She is a staunch conservative, a country music star, and she has given more to this country than most people will in 10 lifetimes. I am incredibly lucky to have her by my side.” “

He added that attacking his girlfriend, 26-year-old Alexis Wilkins, is cowardly and threatens our peace.”

He concluded: “And to our so-called allies who remain silent, your silence is more powerful than the voices of the haters.”

Patel was spotted at the Bryce Jordan Center at Pennsylvania State University, where his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, attended a Real American Wrestling (RAF) event on Saturday. On Sunday morning, the day after the event, Wilkins posted a photo on her Instagram account of herself with Patel, wearing a hoodie emblazoned with the FBI logo.

Public flight records for Patel’s plane, flight number N708JH, show that it landed at State College Airport in Pennsylvania on October 25, the day of the RAF event, at 5:40 p.m. Eastern Time. He took off again from the same airport at 8:03 p.m. (Eastern Time) and landed in Nashville at 8:28 p.m. (Central Time). He departed the following morning at 9:37 a.m. (Central Time) for San Angelo, Texas, for unknown reasons.

Kyle Seraphin, a conservative former FBI agent turned podcaster and FBI critic, was the first to reveal the identity of Patel’s girlfriend. “We’re in the middle of a government shutdown, they’re not even going to pay all the employees of the agency this guy runs. And he’s flying off to have fun with his girlfriend in Nashville at our expense?” Seraphin said this on Monday on his show, “The Kyle Seraphin Show.”

The mounting accusations against Patel are laced with biting sarcasm. Former FBI directors James Comey and Chris Wray have faced criticism for using government aircraft for personal purposes, and Patel was one of Wray’s most vocal critics in 2022.

In a 2023 TruthSocial post, Patel called Wray a “government mafia” and accused him of “traveling at taxpayers’ expense and shirking responsibility for the FBI’s collapse under his leadership.”

Patel’s scathing criticism comes amid growing frustration within the Trump administration after he encouraged a counterterrorism operation before investigators and prosecutors had a chance to verify the information, according to multiple sources. Among those reportedly exasperated by the former “Make America Great Again” podcast host are Attorney General Pam Bondi and her deputy, Todd Blanch, according to sources cited by MSNBC.
