Donald Trump’s Epstein Shutdown ‘Doesn’t Smell Right’: Scaramucci
Anthony Scaramucci unpacks the official story behind Jeffrey Epstein’s death and why Elon Musk has renewed his trolling of Donald Trump.
Anthony Scaramucci said on The Daily Beast podcast that a Justice Department and FBI memo claiming there was no evidence that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was murdered or that he had a “client list” for blackmail purposes “doesn’t seem plausible.”
The former Trump White House communications director told host Joanna Coles that while he didn’t subscribe to the idea of a “client list,” Epstein continued to release incriminating information about his powerful friends.
“I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but this doesn’t seem plausible to me,” Scaramucci said, before delving into the circumstances of Epstein’s death.
He added: “The tape was erased, the guards walked away, and then he suddenly killed himself, but he had to do it in a way that made it a collateral suicide.” “He couldn’t hang himself; he had nothing to hang himself with, so he strangled himself at the foot of his bed to commit suicide. Okay, that’s good. I’ll believe it. Let’s assume it’s true, that the guards disappeared, and that there was no recording of the incident. But Epstein “had a lot of questionable information about a lot of people,” according to Scaramucci. “Maybe he was willing to talk.”
Scaramucci agreed with the FBI and the Justice Department that there was no “client list” per se, but the more relevant question is whether there was a “social media list and a friends list” for Jeff Epstein, since he also had confidential information about these people.
Scaramucci added: “Because we know from the two criminal investigations into Jeff Epstein that he had a lot of recordings.” He had a lot of recordings of people engaging in nefarious activities on his island and other places where he lived.”
“I think it’s just a linguistic analysis,” he explained.
Scaramucci also criticized the Trump administration for the timing of the warrant’s release: a Sunday, over a holiday weekend.
“Guys,” he said. “They’re doing this for a reason, you know. Come on.”
Asked whether the arrest warrant was intended to “protect” Donald Trump, Scaramucci said he didn’t know.
“I don’t want to be that kind of person,” he said. “I’m not [FBI Director Dan] Bongino, who gets on the microphone and announces he has a list of agents and is a real bastard, then gets a prominent role and announces otherwise. I don’t know the answer. I’m not informed enough.” So I’m not saying whether Trump is involved or not.”
Also on the podcast, Scaramucci—who has previously explained why Democrats should try to convince Elon Musk to return to their party—explained what the so-called “Party of America” might look like.
While figures like Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President J.D. Vance won’t be able to “embodied the movement that Trump started,” the importance of Elon Musk shouldn’t be underestimated, according to Scaramucci.
“Where Musk would fit in that fight? I don’t know. But Musk is a very smart, very resourceful guy. Musk is an engineer. These guys aren’t engineers,” Scaramucci said of the men in the Trump White House. “They’re politicians. Politicians don’t think like engineers. Musk will be 17 steps ahead of them.”
