Donald Trump spent two hours on Truth Social attacking his opponents and retweeting messages of praise after world leaders ignored his “Board of Peace” event in Davos.

The 79-year-old president posted almost every minute on Thursday, just hours after launching his “Board of Peace” initiative at the World Economic Forum, which brought together a diverse group of his allies from the Middle East and South America.

Between 10:38 a.m. and 1:01 p.m. Eastern Time, Trump fired off 51 posts, many of them screenshots showing people approving videos he had shared just seconds before.

Among the topics covered in this barrage of Posts were a video of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller attacking Trump’s opponents, a court victory authorizing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to use force against protesters in Minnesota, conspiracy theories about alleged fraud in the 2020 election, threats of legal action against The New York Times for publishing polls he disliked, and a vicious attack on Special Counsel Jack Smith.

Smith was testifying publicly before Congress about his lawsuit against Donald Trump for allegedly attempting to overturn the 2020 election results when the president tweeted: “Jack Smith is a psychopath and should not be allowed to practice law.”

This verbal attack by the president came at the end of a widely criticized and humiliating visit to the World Economic Forum.

After delivering a speech on Wednesday in which he raised the possibility of a US takeover of Greenland, Trump met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who appeared to persuade him to back down. Trump left the meeting claiming to have secured a “framework agreement” for the United States regarding Greenland, without providing any details.

On Thursday, Trump suffered another humiliation at the signing ceremony for the Board of Peace.

The White House presented the Board of Peace initiative, which countries can join by paying a $1 billion contribution, as an international alliance aimed at “promoting stability, restoring sound and legitimate governance, and ensuring lasting peace in areas affected or threatened by conflict.”

While the White House expected representatives from 35 countries to attend the ceremony, fewer than 20 were present. Other world leaders attending Davos, such as French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, ignored Trump’s initiative.

Trump ultimately signed what his critics called a revised UN Charter, drafted by his supporters, alongside figures like Argentine President Javier Pérez Mesquito and far-right Hungarian leader Viktor Orbán.

Trump referred to each world leader who signed the “Board of Peace” as “dear friend.”

Shortly after this series of posts concluded, Trump’s Twitter account adopted a different, more optimistic tone.

At 1:45 p.m., Trump posted the following poste: “Back in Washington, D.C. Had a great time in Davos.” Work on the structure of Greenland is underway, which will be great for the United States, and the Board of Peace is a first in the world—very special. Many good things are happening! President Donald J. Trump.
