Trump Blasted for Golfing as More Die in His War
The president hit the links as people continue to die in a war he started.

The president’s passion for golf has once again drawn sharp criticism.
President Donald Trump was spotted playing golf Sunday morning at his residence, Trump National Doral, in Miami, Florida, as news continued to pour in about the devastation wrought in the Middle East by his surprise war launched the previous week.
In a video posted by the user “PatriotTiks” on the X website, Trump, 79, is seen returning from a round of golf on his favorite course, wearing the same cap he wore Saturday at the ceremony to repatriate the remains of six American soldiers killed in his war against Iran.
Trump quickly faced sharp criticism for his lack of judgment.
“America is at war, TSA employees aren’t getting paid, and this guy is playing golf! Why do House Republicans keep supporting this disaster? They’re sycophants!”
“He plays golf after bombing children and raising gas prices,” wrote House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on X.
California Governor Gavin Newsom writing, “He’s golfing after bombing children and raising your gas prices.”

Harry Sison, an influential Democrat, wrote on X: “If Joe Biden golfed during a war MAGA would do another January 6th but since it’s Trump they don’t care,”
The day before, Saturday, at his funeral, Trump had already sparked outrage by wearing a $55 white baseball cap, embroidered in gold and emblazoned with “USA” in large letters, a model from his own brand. According to public photos, no other U.S. president has ever worn a baseball cap to a funeral.

Newsom called the president a “despicable man” for his choice of attire at the memorial service for fallen soldiers.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), an American veterans’ organization, recommends removing one’s hat or head covering and placing it over one’s heart at military funerals.
Although a funeral procession is not a military burial, it is customary in the United States to remove one’s hat as a sign of respect, particularly during the national anthem at sporting events.

On the morning of February 28, the United States and Israel conducted a joint airstrike against Iran, killing the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Several other high-ranking Iranian officials were also killed in the strikes that day, including the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Minister of Defense.

As Iran launched retaliatory attacks across the region, six U.S. reservists were killed when an Iranian drone struck a mobile operations center in the port of Shuaiba, Kuwait, on March 1.
The soldiers killed were: Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35; Staff Sergeant Noah L. Titgens, 42; Staff Sergeant Nicole M. Amore, 39; and Sergeant Declan J. Cody, 20. Major Jeffrey R. O’Brien, 45, and Chief Petty Officer Robert M. Marzan, 54, were among the casualties.
On Sunday, U.S. Central Command announced the death of a seventh U.S. service member from injuries sustained in the attacks.
The statement specifies: “The serviceman was critically wounded at the site of the attack against U.S. forces in Saudi Arabia on March 1.”

In a televised address on March 1, Trump stated that “more will probably die” before the war is over.
He added: “That’s the reality.”
