“There’s a trove of information that the Trump administration right now is refusing to share,” the CNN anchor said.

CNN’s chief Washington correspondent, Jake Tapper, accused the Trump administration of manipulating public opinion by closing the case against deceased pedophile and abuser Jeffrey Epstein.

“This isn’t going away,” Tapper warned on his daily show Tuesday, just hours after President Donald Trump abruptly interrupted questions about Epstein during a Cabinet meeting by saying, “Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?”

The FBI and the Justice Department released a memo Tuesday concluding that Epstein—who had a long-standing relationship with Trump, which reportedly ended in the early 2000s—did not keep a client list and was not killed in his cell in 2019.

Tapper noted that the Trump administration had declared the case “closed” after months of speculation about Epstein’s files, and asked, “What’s really going on?” Finally, what’s really going on?”

He said: “While there may not be an official client list that will be released, as the administration now claims, much additional information remains to be disclosed.”

Tapper cited 22 FBI files containing thousands of heavily redacted pages related to the Epstein case, publicly available in the FBI’s “vault.” He added: “There is a wealth of information that the Trump administration is currently refusing to release. Information that could identify the powerful individuals who exploited Jeffrey Epstein’s victims for sex trafficking.”

The 56-year-old journalist, who recently published a controversial book detailing the alleged cover-up of Joe Biden’s alleged physical and mental deterioration during his time in office, suggested: “Why aren’t the testimonies of victims and witnesses being released?”

He pointed at the camera and said: “The public—you—are being screwed.”

He pointed to several members of the Trump administration as “the ones who stirred up controversy” around the Epstein case, showing a clip of Trump adviser and acting New Jersey U.S. Attorney Alina Haba saying in February, “We have flight records, information, names, and they’re going to be revealed,” claiming the revelations would be “shocking.”

Tapper joked, “I’m shocked none of this has been revealed.”

Tapper finds himself on the same page as a group of Make America Great Again supporters who openly express frustration at the lack of information, having anticipated that Trump’s return to power would reveal shocking secrets about Epstein and other influential figures.
