Fox News Unwittingly Humiliates Trump Goons With Empty Fair

Live shots from Trump’s favorite network contradict him.

Donald Trump’s favorite television network is not helping to bolster his position regarding the “Great American State Fair,” an event organized by his “Freedom 250” foundation.

Trump defended the fair’s opening weekend, claiming that the event—which saw low turnout—was actually packed with visitors.

However, Fox News inadvertently contradicted these claims on Monday afternoon. The Murdoch-owned network hosted two Trump loyalists appointed by him—Dr. Mehmet Oz and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum—while the fairgrounds, clearly visible in the background, were completely deserted.

The footage of the empty site spoke for itself.

A Fox spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Meanwhile, Burgum heaped praise on the former president, calling him a “game-changing” figure and stating that America is lucky to have him leading the celebrations for the nation’s 250th anniversary.

“We had Washington for the first [anniversary] celebration, we had [Theodore Roosevelt] for the 125th, and now we have President Trump for the 250th,” he said. “These are all extraordinary figures who change the game and move our country forward.”

As for Oz—who serves as administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)—he focused more on spreading erroneous claims about the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”). Yet, even as he spoke, it was the empty spaces behind him that truly drew the eye. Meanwhile, the president’s fair was struggling to gain traction after opening on Wednesday; Power outages on the first day disrupted the food area and caused ice cream to melt, while generator issues briefly brought the Ferris wheel to a halt.

Several artists had also pulled out before the event began. As for Vanilla Ice—who had not joined the wave of artists cancelling their performances—his show was ultimately called off due to bad weather, even though no inclement weather actually occurred.

The problems persisted; extreme heat and rain forced organizers to temporarily close the fair on Sunday afternoon. When announcing the closure on a digital sign, organizers directed visitors to check for updates on the “Freeedom 250” social media pages—misspelling the organization’s name by adding an extra “E”—which sparked a fresh wave of online mockery.

Against this backdrop, Trump encountered fairgoers whom he appeared to view as “ungrateful.”

In a Truth Social post at 6:27 a.m., he wrote: “Do you think people appreciate the tremendous job we did organizing and running the ‘Great American State Fair’ on the National Mall—an event that drew a crowd of happy people and was universally acclaimed?”

He added: “Ask yourself this simple question, ‘DO YOU THINK THAT OBUMA OR SLEEPY JOE BIDEN COULD HAVE DONE IT?’ THE ANSWER IS NO!”
